On today’s Art of War Battle Report, we present to you the brand new edition of Warhammer 40k with Veterans of the Long War Chaos Space Marines taking on Gladius Task Force Ultramarines!

As always, this competitive battle report is going to focus on the tactics and strategies employed by two of the best players in the world. Note that this battle report is using existing 10th edition points costs for units and random force dispositions that we think fit the lore of the detachment!

John's Ultramarines are led by Roboute Guilliman, Cato Sicarius, a Captain in Gravis Armor with Artificer Armor, and a Lieutenant with Combi-Weapon. Supported by an Intercessor Squad, 5 Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs, a Ballistus Dreadnought, a Repulsor, a Repulsor Executioner, 2x units of Heavy Bolter Eradicators, a Scout Squad, an Incursor Squad, a Storm Speeder Hammerstrike and a unit of 6 Victrix Honor Guard.

Nick's CSM are led by Huron Blackheart, Fabius Bile, Cypher and a Chaos Lord with Warmaster's Gift. Supported by 2x Cultist Mobs, a unit of Legionaries, 2x Rhinos, a unit of Traitor Guardsmen, Chaos Bikers, a unit of 10 Chosen and a unit of 5 Chosen, 2x Defilers, the Masters of the Maelstrom and a Venomcrawler.

Today’s battle will be fought using the Take and Hold vs Priority Assets Force Disposition matchup on the new 11th Edition Terrain format on Crucible of Battle Deployment
