Welcome, today's Art of War Battle Report features Michael's Tallyband Summoners and Paragons of Putrescence Death Guard versus Sascha's Murdertalon Raiders and Warpstrike Champions Chaos Space Marines!
As always, this competitive battle report is going to focus on the tactics and strategies employed by two of the best players in the world. How will both of these armies adapt to the new 11th Edition competitive meta? Are Sascha's Terminator Bricks the cure for Michael's disease, or will Michael's Great Unclean One defile Sascha's... Okay that's gross I'm not going to finish that. Who wrote this?
Michael's Death Guard are led by a Lord of Virulence with the Beckoning Blight enhancement, a Lord of Poxes also enhanced with the Host of the Hybridized Pox, and a Malignant Plaguecaster and Biologus Putrifier attached to 10 Plague Marines - all riding in a Chaos Rhino. They're supported by a Defiler armed with Autocannons and two Foetid Bloat-Drones with Plaguespitters, along with a summoned Daemonic host led by Rotigus and a Great Unclean One, who have brought along a unit of two Beasts of Nurgle, two more separate Beasts of Nurgle, and a unit of Nurglings.
Sascha's Chaos Space Marines are led by Kravek Morne, a solo Red Corsairs Reave-Captain, a Chaos Lord with jump Pack with the Pact of Cursed Pinions Enhancement leading 5 Warp Talons, and two 10-man bricks of Chaos Terminators - one led by a Chaos Lord in Terminator Armour with the Infernal Fulgurite enhancement, the other led by a Sorcerer in Terminator Armour enhanced with Akshur's Binding Runes. They're supported by two Cultist Mobs, a Chaos Rhino, two units of 3 Chaos Bikers, a herd of Fellgor Beastmen, and two pairs of Obliterators.
Today’s battle will be fought using the Priority Assets versus Reconnaissance Disposition matchup on the new 11th Edition Terrain format, Crucible of Battle Deployment, Layout A!
