On today’s Art of War Battle Report we have the War Room Elite clash between John’s Corterie of the Conceited Emperor’s Children and Nick’s Shadowmark Talon Raven Guard!

As always, this competitive battle report is going to focus on the tactics and strategies employed by two of the best players in the world. Stay tuned to find out if Space Marines are as broken as Nick claims if he can take down John with his first Raven Guard game!

John’s Emperor’s Children are led by 3x units of Winged Daemon Princes, 2x units of Lord Exultants, and 2x Lord of Kakophonist. Supported by 2x units of Infractors, 2x units of Tormentors, 2x units of Chaos Rhinos, a Maulerfiend, 3x units of Noise Marines.

Nick’s Raven guard are led by Aethon Shaan, Kayvaan Shrike, a Captain with Jump Pack, and a Lieutenant with Combi-Weapon. Supported by a unit of Intercessors, 3x units of Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs, a unit of Centurion Devastators, 3x units of Inceptors, a unit of scouts, and 2x units of Vanguard Veterans.

Today’s battle will be fought using the Chapter Approved 2025-2026 Tournament Companion – Mission M, Purge the Foe Primary, Crucible of Battle Deployment, on Games Workshop Terrain Layout #2.
