On today’s Art of War Battle Report, we present to you the brand new edition of Warhammer 40k with John's Elegant Brutes, Spectacle of Slaughter, Frenzied Host Emperor's Children taking on Richard's Hearthguard Covenant, Farseekers, and Armored Trailblazers Leagues of Votann!

As always, this competitive battle report is going to focus on the tactics and strategies employed by two of the best players in the world. Note that this battle report is using existing 10th edition points costs for units and random force dispositions that we think fit the lore of the detachment!

John's Emperor's Children are led by 3x Lord Exultants, a Winged Daemon Prince, 3x Infractors, a Tormentor unit, 2x Chaos Rhinos, 2x Chaos Spawn units, 2x units of Terminators with the Frenzied Ferocity upgrade, a Defiler, and 3x units of Flawless Blades with the Beguiling Grotesquerie upgrade.

Richard's Votann are led by Uthar the Destined, 2x Kahls, one with Ironskein, and 2x Arkanyst Evaluators. Supported by 10 Hearthkyn Warriors, 2x Kapricus Carriers, 2x Sagitaurs, 2x units of 10 Hearthguard, a Hekaton Land Fortress, 3x units of Hernkyn Pioneers, and 2x units of Hernkyn Yaegirs.

Today’s battle will be fought using the Purge the Foe versus Priority Assets Disposition matchup on the new 11th Edition Terrain format, Hammer and Anvil Deployment!
